Who we are
At New Stone Age Retreat, we are a nonprofit dedicated to supporting mental wellness, mindfulness, and emotional well-being in a way that feels real, grounded, and accessible.
We exist for individuals navigating stress, anxiety, burnout, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm. Our goal is simple: to create space for people to pause, breathe, and reconnect with themselves without pressure or judgment.
NSAR was born from lived experience. It was co-founded by a military veteran living with PTSD, MST, and TBI, alongside caregivers and individuals who have faced trauma, burnout, and the challenges of maintaining mental and emotional balance. We are not separate from this work. We understand it because we have lived it.
Our focus is on practical, trauma-informed mindfulness that supports everyday mental health. We serve adults, caregivers, and teens by offering tools that help regulate emotions, reduce stress, and build a stronger sense of self-awareness and stability.
Our programs include virtual mindfulness sessions, caregiver support, youth and teen wellness, community workshops, and pop-up retreats. Each offering is designed to be simple, supportive, and accessible—meeting people where they are.
We believe mindfulness is not a replacement for clinical care, but a meaningful support alongside it.
As a community-based nonprofit, we are committed to making mental health support inclusive and stigma-free. We provide free and low-cost programs, outreach to underserved communities, and dedicated support for caregivers.
In 2025, New Stone Age Retreat was granted 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status, reflecting our commitment to transparency, integrity, and service.
This is not just an organization.
It is a space for support, growth, and reconnection.
OUR MISSION
At New Stone Age Retreat, our mission is to support mental wellness through accessible, trauma-informed mindfulness programs that help individuals manage stress, anxiety, burnout, and life transitions.
We are committed to creating a safe, supportive space where people can pause, reconnect with themselves, and build practical tools for emotional balance, resilience, and clarity.
Through community-based programs, caregiver support, and youth and teen wellness initiatives, we work to make mental health support more inclusive, stigma-free, and available to those who need it most.
Our goal is simple: to provide real support that helps people feel more grounded, more present, and better equipped to navigate everyday life.
